Materials: Bias tape, thread, embroidery machine
Cost: $3

When I was a kid, my mom made a lot of our clothes. On the back neckline of each one, she would affix a little tag with her name on it and a cute tagline. I have been wanting something like this for some time. My original approach was going to be a printable design that could be ironed on to fabric and attached like a tag. But once I got ahold of my mom's new Bernina, I couldn't get enough of the embroidery feature. So I made myself twenty or so clothing tags. They are a little long, so I think I will attach them to the neck at the "S" of "SEW" and let them hang down vertically. The project was super easy, too. Just wind the bobbin, program the letters and send the single-fold bias tape through.
