Sheer Summer

Pattern: based off of McCall's Misses' Lined Dresses #M6319
Fabric: 1 1/4 yds cotton/rayon knit with a mesh back
Cost: $14

I was inspired to make a sheer back dress after seeing Bert Keeter's version on Project Runway and a few other sheer dresses out there. This one is made using the back pieces from McCall's lined dress pattern, and really only took about an afternoon to make.

I finished off the neckline and armholes with bias tape, which is sewn under, and after a little struggling decided to leave the bottom unhemmed.

  2. Hi Meg:

Thought I posted a comment yesterday, but when I didn't receive an answer, I found it wasn't sent after all. We love your version of M6319. The illusion back looks fabulous, and the color is perfect. May we use your photo and link to your blog on our Facebook page: Fbmccallpattern.com? Please email me at Valeryp@mccallpattern.com. Thank you.
