Yarn: something soft like Knit Pick's Superwash Merino Wool ($3.79/ball)
Pattern: Garter Stitch (Knit every row)
End pattern (repeat three times a few inches from each end): Work 1 purl row every 3 rows
The skinny scarf resembles the tiny hipster ties and straight leg jeans that have been so popular lately. It is about 7 feet long but only two or three inches wide, done in a simple garter stitch with a dk weight yarn. This is definitely a great project for a beginner. The ends have a
small detailing (a few purled rows thrown in every three lines) for added interest.
