Whenever I go shopping with my friend, she is always remarking on how I like "all the weird pants." It's true. As someone who sews, I get easily bored with the same silhouettes. With dresses, tops and even jackets you can really experiment with form, but when it come to pants we've pretty much been doing the same thing since Levi Strauss introduced jeans to California gold miners in the 1850s.
This is all to say that I really want a pair of paperbag pants like these from Urban Outfitters. While the in-store version didn't quite fit right, I'd like to make myself a sleek pair with pleating at the top, not too high-waisted. Now we'll just have to see if I can find the right fabric.
