Peacock Scarf

Pattern: shell lace stitch
Yarn: 2 skeins Cascade Paints in Meadow
Cost: donation ($26 value)

The school I work at is doing an auction to raise money, and while I can't donate my summer home or wine from my vineyard, I did volunteer to knit a scarf. The yarn was donated by the lovely folks at K2Together, and I have to say the results are just gorgeous.

The pattern is a lace knit design from 100% Peruvian Highland wool. It took an estimated 20 hours to make by hand, and includes fringe at each end.  While I don't ever wear these colors, I think the scarf is absolutely lovely.
