Happy Halloween!

In the holiday spirit, I thought I'd throw up a few pictures of my Halloween celebrations ;)

I think it was pretty obvious to many that my cape dress from the Fabric Mart Contest would make an excellent Halloween costume. I couldn't help myself, and dressed it up with an impromptu yellow belt and cuffs to temporarily transform into Batgirl. Batgirl's companion, Catwoman, was at the ready, and made for one of the easiest costumes I've ever done.

We spent the evening checking out the crowd at the SoMa Street Food Park for Truck or Treat, and then headed out to see the other costumes and meet up with friends around town. Our friends Daft Punk and their melodicas even helped us crash a house party as Halloween carolers.

Hope you had a happy handmade Halloween!

  1. That dress does make for a great costume base. It's versatile! It sounds like you made the most of Halloween in SF!

  2. Wow, how clever! I would have never come up with that costume from the dress but wow that is awesome. It can be elegant AND funky and fun.
