This weekend was our second Bay Area Sewists Meetup of the year. Chuleenan hosted another great event, this time involving a fabric swap. And GUYS, I've been hoarding fabric for a swap for months!
On Saturday, I dragged my two bins of fabric to the Berkeley Public Library, and came home with only one bin. I consider that a success! And I saved myself a good chunk of change by not joining the group at Stone Mountain afterwards. Another win!
I loved seeing some of the same people from last time, and we were joined by a few new faces. Sometimes I got so distracted chatting that I almost forgot to grab my fabrics.
Sara took home the remnants from my flower pants, and Loran got a few yards of some green silk that I had lying around, hinting something about the Mad Men Challenge. I can't wait to see what they make! And Jana, who snagged some of my old wallpaper fabric, has already made a bag!

If you haven't joined us yet, next month is a show and tell and tour of fabric and lace shop Lacis!
Hearing what everyone was going to do with their fabric was such fun. Thanks for the wallpaper fabric, Meg, and the great pics!
ReplyDeleteI had such a good time meeting everyone. I'm still trying to figure out what to do with the floral scrap - it's so pretty! All my favorite colors.
ReplyDeleteI cant wait to show up next month in my fashion forward "wearable muslin". Thanks for the great candid photo!
ReplyDeleteGreat photos, Meg! And thanks so much for coming early to help set up. I'm going to have to steal your group photo if I ever a moment to post about it. It was a lot of fun.
