No sewing, but I did manage to do a little bit of Easter baking! I made these delicious cake-filled eggs! They are a ton more work than your average cake, but it's cool to impress your friends. I made my cake rainbow-colored by pouring in different layers of batter dyed with food coloring. But be careful: 1/2 way full of batter was still waay too full for my eggs (full disclosure: I put a tablespoon of baking soda in instead of a teaspoon) and, despite what the instructions say, it isn't easy getting the cake off the egg shell. After baking, I papier-mâchéd the eggs because I didn't have any food coloring to set the dye on the eggs. Basically, I am not nearly as meticulous a baker as I am a sewist, but I still like being creative.
