Meg Made May Reflections

Because of my ongoing focus on making wearable clothes, finding time to sew, and adding basics to my me-mades, this was the easiest Me Made May yet (as it should be!). The challenge, like last May and the year before, was my crazy schedule, which seems to fill up every May with vacations, work travel, and varying weather conditions. I've barely had time to sew this month, so participating in MMM made me still feel like part of the community.

Me Made May also helped me focus in on a few missing pieces in my wardrobe. Besides more bras and pants, I'd love to have a few more flowy button-down shirts in my wardrobe for work. I also confirmed my love for the boxy top/slim pant silhouette, which I'll keep in mind for future projects.

Here's a tally from this month:

Total Me-Made items documented: 42
Unique items worn: 29

And because I don't take MMM selfies, here's some pics of the fun times last month. It's so cool to have all these memories in my me-made clothes! Everything from snow in Tahoe to a music festival in Austin...
