Handmaker's Factory

Have you had the chance to check out Handmaker's Factory yet? It's a new sewing community started by Leisl Shanley, who blogs over at Jorth!, and Nichola Prested of Nikkishell. They've also had their hand in some other crafty endeavors, including Mixtape Zine, working at Tessuti, and BurdaStyle.

I love the cool website layout and pretty graphics, and also it's conscientious pledge:

As a member of Handmaker's Factory I pledge that I shall learn about the impact my clothing choices make on our planet, step off the merry-go-round of dictated fashion and confidently explore the traditional craft of making my own clothes. As part of this global interactive community I will share my passion and expertise, be respectful to others and have fun!

I went over there this week and posted my Winter Swing Jacket, and sweet Leisl contacted me to feature it on the site!

If you've been looking for a new sewing community to share your work, I definitely recommend!
