Spring Embroidery Dress

Pattern: Vogue Misses' Dress #V1174
Fabric: cotton shirting
Cost: $15

Ever since I tried on a strapless dress that fit beautifully but turned out to not be on sale, I've been wanting to make one of my own. I dug up this fabric from my stash and decided to give it a try. I added my own embroidery that resembles my Traditional Mexican Dress. And while it may not look similar, this is actually the same pattern I used for my Little Monster Halloween Costume. Overall, I think I prefer the Simplicity bodice pattern.

  1. That is a gorgeous dress. I love the exposed zipper in the back and the embroidery.

  3. Using that light blue zipper to contrast the dark fabric of the dress is just brilliant!
